Owlets Have Grown Up
June 16th, 2011
Nature can be a beautiful and awe-inspiring force. Our little sign owls are growing up rapidly; soon they'll be ready to take flight on their own. We'll miss them, but we understand they have to take their place in the world. This was a rare discovery to be sure, so don't expect to find owls in your sign. Click here for more sign owl pictures.
Owlets Make an Illuminated Sign Their Home
May 7th, 2011
Who knew you could become so acquainted with wildlife while working in the signage and lettering business. One of our customers reported having a pigeon infestation problem in his illuminated sign. We assured him we could seal it up to prevent the pests from being able to enter at will. Well, when we popped the sign open, we got a bit of a shock. We found a pigeon inside, yes, but this pigeon was sharing quarters with an owl, an owl's nest and several little owlets. Having no desire to displace such a magnificent creature caring for her young, we've decided to forego the sign restoration, at the very least until the owlets are able to fend for themselves.
Instant Signs at the Races
April 18th, 2011
For an entire weekend, the downtown district of Long Beach rang with the hums and whines of high performance engines as Indy cars and stock cars raced through the city streets in the annual Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach. Long Beach was packed with residents and visitors from out-of-town all eager to watch professional drivers and celebrities alike strive to outpace their opponents. Instant Signs was proud to participate in this exciting event. Because the Grand Prix is such an enormous production, the event's need for signage is extensive. To meet this demand, the Instant Signs team set up a sign-making station on-site at the Grand Prix. We printed everything from small booth signs to standing signs indicating event locations to giant banners and E-Z Up lettering. Click here to view more pictures from the Grand Prix.
